Unable to read audio ....

I just downloaded the demo version to test my hardware, and it said my cd-rw was compatible for both read & write...so I went back on line and purchased the full version (Micro Studio), installed it with all the proper serial#'s...went to copy my first cd+g...."Unable to Read Audio"....no matter what source cdg i use (tried 4 different ones from 4 different cdg sources...all same error). Then browsing the faq I see where the software incorrectly posts certain drives as OK! Now I just spent $40 bucks on something that told me it worked..now doesn't. ?? How do I solve this problem or a full refund.??
I'm running XP on Pentium 4 2.25Ghz with 1GB Ram, Soundblaster Audigy Card (all Creative software disabled), but my CD-RW is a TEAC CD W540E.
