????

This may sound dumb but. what do you mean by an original footage disc?

If your disk says video karaoke, is it a VCD or a DVD?

You may be able to copy VCD, just try it.

Buttons,
Roxio (formerly adaptec) CD Creator Ver. 4.0 or 5.0 will make back up copies of your VCD's. This product doesn't compete with Microstudio, it won't recognize the CD+G format, so I though I would mention it. Direct CD which is bundled in with CD Creator does try to change your recorders settings which will conflict with Microstudio CD-Writer configurations at the time of installation (but it asks you first). I just don't use Direct CD and it's not a problem.
I have read where some Microstudio users uninstall all Adaptec software because of that conflict, which is really unneccesary.

VCD may copy with Microstudio

We have had one of our Beta Testers in the UK report she was able to make VCD backups. Try it with either the Karaoke or the Audio button down.

If you have success or not, please post here. :c

Admin, I tried it, Microstudio will make a copy of VCD's. I made a backup copy of Original Footage Vol. 8. I used the CD+G Karaoke mode and read the disk to the hard drive first from the CDRW and then wrote a perfect copy at 40x read and 6x write, with Sony Media and an Iomega ZIPCD3840INT-A CDRW that has a Plextor mechanism. The copy plays fine on my Pioneer DVL-V888 karaoke machine. Just for grins I tried to play it with Microstudio on the computer, it won't work (Maybe that's the problem Buttons is having??). To play VCD's on the computer all you need is Windows Media Player. Insert the VCD in the drive that is connected to your sound card. Click file, open, select the CD drive in Windows Media, scroll in 'all files', click Mpegav and select your track. Hope that helped.
