Plextor Record Speed????

Hey Y'all....

I bought a Plextor 40x recorder but can only copy CD+G's at 6x with MTU Micro Studio....What gives??

With Goldenhawk software it runs at 40x and CD+G's are done in 2 minutes instead of about 15 minutes with MTU!!

What am I missing??

OK did you try to set the speeds?? Click on the Drive tab and select speeds to adjust read and write speeds.
If you have already tried that is it an internal or USB Plex??
If internal is it an intel chip or AMD??

Thanks Jim,

I didn't realize I could select the speed like you suggest!!

I set it at 40x and only 2minutes to record a 10 track CD+G......EXCELLENT RESULTS!!!

Thanks again,
Jack:g :g :g :g

If you are doing backups don't forget to set your write speed, I keep my Plex set to the max that my Plex is rated for, and get great back ups!!!
