I can't think what's changed in the final layout over the years but if you want to send your result via my email the address is in the private message.

Re: Hoster prints songbook incorrectly
I've posted a link to your file so anyone who may have a suggestion can view it.
https://1drv.ms/b/s!AvLuciAi7-DesFWdP7hQuaZd0fbw The trouble as I see it is when you imported the files you did not set the define field order correct. It looks like you probably imported them as "Title Only (Insert Full File name) Order. For the songbook to sort correctly the songs have to be imported with the data in the correct columns. If you open Hosters Edit dialog and just select match for the Book ID then enter 1374 as the search string it should show all those files, then look at the Artist name field and Title fields and all the other fields, Are they in the correct columns or is most of the data in a single column ? I also note that some of the file names show an "F" after the artist name is that something to do with the Drive letter ? Also those files were not imported as first name last name order so you would not be able to sort the books in that order. Apart from laboriously editing them all one at a time I think it would be easier to re import them correctly. All those file that have disc and track numbers at the start of the file names you would probably be best to set the define field order to ignore that first field. Or alternately use a Bulk file renamer tool such as: http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/V...ersion=2.7.1.3 Rename them without the leading # then re Import. |
Re: Hoster prints songbook incorrectly
Nearly all of them have been in my database since between 2006 and 2010 and there have only been a couple since then

Re: Hoster prints songbook incorrectly
See if you can take a screen shot of the edit dialog after listing 1374 book Id.
Then I might be able to see the problem. |

The screenshot is attached. I just noticed there is a 01 before all the songs Alan I think I may know the problem but don't know how to fix it. Several years ago I converted all my scdg's and imported them to Hoster and maybe this is the problem, but I don't know how to fix it.Attachment 2163

Re: Hoster prints songbook incorrectly
Looking at that screen shot it appears you did import them as one long file name under Title.
Since looking at it further I notice the "F;" I mentioned before actually stands for featuring then the other Artist, no big deal with that. Basically the only way to really correct them is to re import them all setting the define field order to ignore that first number and set the other fields with the correct spaces between hyphens then use ";" for last separator before the CB5147. If you imported them as KMA then you need to have a copy of the original ripped files to be able to re import, if you don't have them then you can either re rip them with the software you originally used or use Songverter to convert them to either mp3+g or zip format. But even then they wont be in 2nd name first name order so that will limit how they order in the songbook. There is software out there for naming karaoke files that way but still time consuming, I could show you how it's done with that free Bulk Rename Utility if you decide to go that route. |
Re: Hoster prints songbook incorrectly
Thanks Roy. Last night I moved the scdg files to a different folder and now only have the original b4 I imported them. Unfortunately I gave away all my scdg disc. I am sure I can get them back for a while if I really want to redo 24,000 files. I am going to see what the song books look like with out all those files. I will let you know. Once again thanks and it must be me that "sucks" and not Hoster!!!
