Video Issues

Sometime ago I reverted all my laptops back to Windows 7 because when I upgraded to windows 10 the VGA port no longer worked. I tried to upgrade a Dell Computer back to Windows 10 today and there are no drivers available for the VGA through Dell. Back then I also tried HDMI mini's but they did not work for every TV in my bars especially the older ones. I was hoping that someone else had that same problem and has a solution. Maybe there is a better product than the HDMI Mini.

I would like to upgrade all my laptops back to Windows 10 before that is no longer a free option. I hope what I've stated is not confusing!

It's your graphics card driver you need to update, there is not a driver specifically for the vga port.
What graphics card do you have ? Go straight to their website and search.

Have you tried an HDMI to VGA converter ?
There are quite a few of those available.

Thanks for your quick response. I went to the Dell website and found all available driver updates and made them. It also stated out there that they do not make all the drivers necessary for a windows 10 upgrade.

HDMI to VGA adapter will that be different than the VGA out of the laptop? What brand would you suggest.
Thanks, Stu

I remember now that HDMI to VGA was the first thing I tried. I also remember I abadoned the idea because it didn't work. I have two types that I purchase 1 from Star Tech that still doesn't work but the other made in china with not real brand on it worked great wow I certainly have wasted a lot of time on the issue. I hope it works great at the bars
Thanks for your help Stu

I purchased one of those "Chinese" powered converters also and it didn't work for me either.

I ended up having to purchase a new Monitor that had a HDMI port.
