Re: CDG's willnot import

Just try this first:
Open the Tools/Settings/CD Drives,
As you say it is showing good as status.
In the bottom window where it shows as Read Drive. and probably showing your drive correct select that drop down arrow to the right and reselect it from the dropdown window even though it is the only one showing then press apply and close.
Now try it from the singers disc.
If still not working re start Hoster and try again. See if that helps only re selecting it from that drop down window re sets the registry for that drive.

Re: CDG's willnot import

Which version of Hoster are you using ?
If it's an old version there might be conflicts with the newer Windows versions.

Sometimes the drives that come with computers don't always work even though they show as good although most new drives seem OK. The only thing I can suggest is try re installing Hoster. Have you got any usb type cd drives you can try ?
Other than that put in a support ticket.

Sorry I don't quite understand. Are you saying you can import it now ?
Is it just that the name didn't come up ?

What about from the singers disc on main dialog, can you play direct from disc ?

No. I can search local data base with the brand and DiscId, they come up with unknown title and artist, I change it to the right names select and then can import them.

Nope

If I pick singers disc, I see you can pick a track, yes that works. Can I import it from there?

Re: CDG's willnot import

What happens if in the Import CD dialog you choose a lower speed setting, I have mine set to 6x. try different speeds see if it helps.
It's getting on for 2 in the morning here so I have to sleep. I'll resume in the morning if you want to leave any more info.

No but it will prove that drive can read the disc.
When you press the play from disc does it load it straight to the playlist and if so will it play OK ? if its bad graphics slow the read speed down right hand side, drive speed next to the title window.

Theres one in the import Cds dialog as shown in the attachment.

There is also one that appears after you press the singers disc button to the right.

Yes it does. Just weird I'm use to it grabbing the songs as soon as I load the disc.

Roy Dennis November 17th, 2015 01:34 PM

Re: CDG's willnot import

I don't know why it should say "E: not valid" perhaps there's a delay in it recognising the drive when you close it. For as long as I can remember mine has never loaded the songs as soon as I closed the draw. I have always had to press either search local or online database.

Doesn't seem a big deal to me, just ignore that irritating message or put in a support ticket see if they know the answer.

Re: CDG's willnot import

This happened to me when I was trying to help my sister in law import a CDG disk into her program. I found out that in Windows 10 it wants to automatically choose to do something with the disk. I just went into the settings and turned off 'autorun' and it seemed to do the trick with saying the 'E' drive couldn't read the disk etc and then the import options worked. Hope this helps!
