Problem Indexing Files
I am experiencing a problem when I go to index new files. The files download correctly from the source to my computer. When I select the file to index and hit enter, nothing happens. The screen flashes and then nothing. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Problem Indexing Files
Which import method are you using ?
If your using the "Scan now" option, are the files your trying to import mp3g, wmag, zip, mp3, or wma ? If your trying to import video types from that dialog I don't think it works with them you would need to use the main import window. Also the define field order must match your files. |
Re: Problem Indexing Files
I'm just importing single files to KMA which I've done hundreds of times. I have a folder that has dozens of ZIP files that import properly, but for some reason this just started happening when I try a new import. Define field order is correct.

Re: Problem Indexing Files
Can you attach a screen shot showing the index Song files dialog with your zip file selected under the kma option ?
Does the file show up in the top box and if you select it show in the fields and seperators window ? If so does it not appear in the bottom window after pressing add files button ? Are you using a new unique disc id or trying to import to an existing disc id ? only you can only add up to 99 tracks to an existing. |
Re: Problem Indexing Files
All is good. Turns out it was a network issue when I was downloading the files. Once the network issue was resolved, I downloaded the songs again and they indexed just fine. The files must have gotten corrupted.

Re: Problem Indexing Files
I am having this same issue when I press the index files button it does nothing, the first time that has ever happened to me, and I've been doing it for years. What did you mean a network issue?

Re: Problem Indexing Files
I tried re downloading all the files thinking maybe that was meant by network issue to no avail. I will wait until tomorrow and hopefully get some help.

Re: Problem Indexing Files
I found a work around I converted my bin files to zip files and indexed them that way and it worked. That's a whole lot of work
