Will Video Hoster work with windows 10
|
Re: windows 10
It does work with windows 10, one tester found trouble with his graphics card and went back to 8.1 but others have found it OK.
One bit of advice just to be on the safe side Un install Hoster while online before upgrading then re install after. This should stop you having to get your registration reset should anything go wrong. |
Re: windows 10
Never mind... I noticed the .exe I first downloaded was not as large as it seems it should be... I re-downleaded a fresh file, the istall went off without a hitch... 5.40 running fine! :g
(Original post:) I upgraded my machine a few weeks ago to Windows 10 (didn't uninstall hoster before the upgrade, but all seems to be working fine). A recently when I started Hoster, I was told I had an upgrade coming, I downloaded the install file. When I try to run it, I initially get the Windows message asking if its ok to "allow this app ... to make changes to your PC". I click ok, but then nothing happens.Nothing locks up or anything, the install program just does not start/continue.... Anything special I need to do with Windows 10? |

Re: windows 10
Are you using it with "Breakaway" or any other audio software programs. I ask this as breakaway has problems with windows 10 as stated on their site.
Assuming you are having this problem running from the on board sound card check first the Tools/Audio settings prevent audio dropouts adjustment, if this is not helping then it is probably down to a driver issue. Check the provider of your sound card for an updated audio driver. I actually installed Windows 10 on my backup computer 2 days ago and found it would not play video instabuttons any more, the problem ended up being a driver issue from AMD and after installing a beta version from them it's now OK. |
