Question on number of copies

I was checking to see if there are any updates to Hoster. I noticed there is a charge for a second update. I have always received two updates ever since I started buying Hoster. Do I now have to pay for a second upgrade?

Thank you,
Ernie

I think you get free upgrades for year unless a major new version is released. You can check the web page or verify this with MTU.

Walt,
That's not what I'm talking about. Before when you bought Hoster you were allowed to install a copy on two computers. Theway it looks to me now is you have to buy the second install.

Thanks,
Ernie

Sorry, I misunderstood. If you originally purchased a 2 license Hoster I believe you still get a 2 license upgrade. If you aren't getting this you need to contact MTU. You can log into your account and verify your original purchase.

Walt is correct. MTU offers a "Hoster One" product which can only be installed on one computer. The Hoster Full product (which is what it sounds like you have) can be installed on two computers. And MTU also offers a "Hoster Quad", which (obviously) can be installed on four computers.

If you find that your upgrade is not allowed to install on two computers, contact "support@mtu.com" with any information regarding your account (e-mail address, last four or five characters of your Registration Code, etc), and they'll get you straightened out.

As a follow up to this thread, if I have the Hoster Full (2 computer license) and I choose the option to buy 2 upgrades, does that allow use on 4 computers or is it a 2 year upgrade cycle?

I don't believe it works that way. If you have a 2 license product you can buy and upgrade that will be good for 2 licenses. The upgrades are only good for your original licenses which by what you stated is for 2 computers. If you have a need for 4 computers you would have to have 4 licenses. The upgrade period is for 1 year. I believe that is only applicable on the same series. In other words if MTU considers a new release to be a new version and not just an upgrade within the year you made your purchase you may still have to pay for the upgrade. You need to contact MTU.
