Moving song files to another folder

Hi guys n gals,

I have just downloaded the latest version of Hoster and like most people, my song database consists of more than one folder of song files. How do I move files from one folder to another without affecting the song book reference numbers in any way?

Looking forward to hearing from you.:g

First of all, be very careful. You are moving .kma and .kmh files. Along with the .kmh files, you need to move the source file(s) that go with them.

Once you move the files, go into Hoster and select "Import Songs" from the Menu Bar at the top. Click on the "Build Database" button. You should see the old folder (the one that used to contain the songs). Click on that folder to select (highlight) it in the list, and then click "Remove Folder".

Once that's complete, click on "Add Folder", and select the folder that you moved your song files to. Click "OK".

This should complete the process. There should be no issues with your Song Book at this time. However, any Playlists that contain any of the songs you moved may need to be rebuilt.

Oh dear! Sounds a little scary. I might give it a miss at this stage. Thanks for your reply.:f
