Re-Install Hoster?
OK, so say you wanted to install a larger hard drive on your laptop that already had hoster on it.
When you do a fresh install of windows, and then try to re-install hoster... do you have to contact MTU to get permission or a special unlock code or something? Just wondering what has to be done if you are having to re-install hoster on the same computer but on a fresh hard drive |
Re: Re-Install Hoster?
If your existing internal hard drive is still working and you just want to replace it with a larger one then I would suggest using a program like "Acronis® Migrate Easy 7.0" which can be viewed here: http://www.acronis.co.uk/homecomputi...paign=bing_cpc
This basically clones your existing hard drive allowing you to just swap your old one with the larger hard drive. No need to re-install Windows or any software, it will just boot up as normal. If you have hard drive failure so have to re-install Windows from scratch along with Hoster then you may find you need to contact support to get your registration reset. If your just moving Hoster from one computer to another then you must uninstall from the existing while connected to the internet, this will register it as being uninstalled in your account freeing up the install to your new computer. |
