Im playing Microstudio in a Laptop and when trying to play a song i receive an eror m

Im using Microstudio in a Laptop to make backup of my collection, but I notice that you can play a track on the PC, when trying to play it, I receive an error message like this:

Your video card currently not support 240x320 with 256 color, change the video card.....

I cant change my video card is on board, theres any other solution?

Regards

Try changing your color resolution to 16 bit and see if that helps.

WONT WORK

I try that what you suggest, also I change my resolution to 256 colors, but the problem is that the pixels wont go under 640X480

and the software is asking for a lower one.

I try to use another driver and wont work either.

I have a COMPAQ ARMADA 6500 with a video adapter

ATI Technologies Inc. 3d RAGE LT PRO AGP 2X

you need to wait for the new version to make that work.
MTUSUPPORT can correct me if I am in error. Laptop screens are vastly different than a desktop's monitor. do you have a VGA out on your laptop? try hooking a regular VGA monitor up to it and see if using that might fix the problem. I am only offering a possible idea - don't take this as expert advice as I have very limited knowledge in regards to laptops. I use primarily desktop computers.

Thank you but still wont work

I figure that posibility too but. remember that even when tou are using a external monitor, the video card or chip is the same, so it wont work.

Im sure theres a solution because MTU have a laptop that they sell configure with their software, so maybe theres a generic driver i can use.

Microstudio 2.316 will solve this problem

You do need to wait for the next release. It removes the 320x280 resolution requirement.

Our Laptop is for Hoster, not Microstudio. Hoster has the new display code already in it, and we are porting this to Microstudio 2.316. Watch the News Page for the expected release date. :w

Ebolivar,
The Problem is that the Video card that you have in that laptop doesn't have the latest drivers. I know that you have either Windows XP or 2000. If you have Windows 2000 then you may need to upgrade to DirectX 8.1 on your computer (Included in Windows XP). Windows 2000 only ships with DirectX 7.0 installed in the Operating system.

You can upgrade this by clicking on your Start Menu, Clicking Windows Update. Find the update that shows Microsoft DirectX 8.1. Download this and it will then install for you. (You must be online for it to work)

If this is the case that you do have DirectX 8.1 installed already, then your drivers for your video card must be updated. The latest drivers for that system are located at:

Windows XP
http://www.compaq.com/support/files/...sCat/63_2.html

Windows 2000
http://www.compaq.com/support/files/...sCat/20_2.html

This should help to fix your problems. This will also have to be done for Microstudio 2.316, because the Video card and Operating system both will have to support DirectX 8.1.
