kma files

Good day!
I tried copied some kma files from one of my computers that has hoster and pasted them in a folder with other kma files for my other computer that also uses hoster.
I rebuilt on the second computer so as to have the songs ready to play. They did appear on search.
I also tried putting them ina a folder by themselves and added them .
They did not appear in my search again.
Please help?
Thanks in advance.

Re: kma files

Pasting kma files from one computer into a folder that already has kma's files in it can cause problems with duplicate book id's or disc id's so they may get thrown out.

When you import files on one computer the first BookId would be 101 and increment from there.

Now if you import files on another computer it will allocate a Bookid of 101 for the first file and so on again. Now if you copy the files from the first computer to the second it sees them as identical book id's so won't import them. The song tracks may be different but if Hoster reads the Book Id's or disc Id's the same they are rejected.

Did you see any messages about duplicate files ?

What version of Hoster are you using ?

Thanks a lot Roy :)! It was exactly as you said, duplication was the issue. Thanks again!
