Audio Drop on Search
Just in case someone is still struggling with audio drop out. I upgraded to 5.08 about a month ago and then 5.09 when it came out. I've been struggling with audio dropout ever since. I thought I'd post what finally got rid of mine. I had tried everything I could imagine and everything I could find on this forum. It always happened on a search. I thought I was going to have to upgrade to a faster computer. I've been using the Dell Vostro 1500 for years. It's Core 2 Duo 1.6ghz with Nvidia Geforce 8400m GS. and 2.5gb of RAM.
Long story short, today I thought I'd see what the tempo change feature was like. Well, guess what. My audio dropout went away when I enabled it. Anybody have an idea why?? |
Re: Audio Drop on Search
Thanks for posting your findings it might help someone else.
I believe they use different audio players, from my understanding with the tempo mode off it uses the old player, they developed a new player for the Tempo activated side. I'm somewhat surprised as I have an old XP computer that struggles a bit with the tempo side but runs great when in normal play mode so I just use it as a backup. |

Re: Audio Drop on Search
Thanks Roy amd Bryant for your replies. I too would have expected it to be just the opposite. That's pretty much why I left it disabled. Can either of you go a little bit more into the audio players and the difference between the two?
