Hoster locks up

On laptop. Core i5 - 2.26 GHZ. 4DB Memory. Hoster 5.08.

I was working fine since installing this version. Laptop now freezes when I go into edit.

I do get a "Too many INSTA Buttons defined" warning when powering up but it did this before I encountered the lock-up problem.

Any Thoghts?

Re: Hoster locks up

I take it you are referring to when you open the Tools/Edit dialog that you get this freezing ?

How many files in your database ?
There is normally a pause of a few seconds before the hour glass disappears when first opening so you can't enter anything till that clears, does the hour glass clear after a short time ?

Does it only freeze after entering a search string and pressing the find button ?

Or are you meaning when you open the the instabutton dialog to edit that ?

Regarding the two many instabuttons message, are you showing any spare slots in that dialog and how many do you have ?

Yes - Tools/Edit
0ver 47,000 in database
It will not go past the edit button - locks up in about 2 seconds without opening edit page.
Regarding the insta buttons.......haven't fooled with insta buttons in months. this problen with edit started yesterday.

Many thanks for the help.

Many Thanks Roy............I think my problem is solved. It appears the window was opening up below my view of the screen. False alarm I guess. Got scared for a bit.

Have A Great Christmas!
