Alienware
Hi
Contacted MTU to see if the computer I want to buy will run Hoster.It is an Alienware by Dell.I had an Alienware computer a year or so ago and it would not run Hoster.I contacted MTU at that time and they suggested it might be video card related as I think they said they were having trouble with some of thr Radeon Video cards. What I need to know is if someone can look at these specifications and tell me if im good to run Hoster on an Alienware Computer <TABLE id=yui_3_7_2_1_1354230721409_1946 border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%"><TBODY id=yui_3_7_2_1_1354230721409_1945><TR><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="20%">Alienware M14X R2 </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="45%">Alienware M14X R2 </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="15%" align=right> </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="20%">Processor </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="45%">3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz w/Turbo Boost 2.0) </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="15%" align=right>[319-1458] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="20%">Memory </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="45%">12GB DDR3 at 1600MHz </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="15%" align=right>[319-0078] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="20%">Keyboard </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="45%">English Keyboard </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="15%" align=right>[331-7324] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="20%">Display Panels </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="45%">14.0" High Def+ (900p/1600x900) with WLED backlight </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="15%" align=right>[320-3629] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="20%">Video Card </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="45%">2 GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M with Optimus™ </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="15%" align=right>[320-3618] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="20%">Hard Drive </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="45%">512GB RAID 0 (256GB Solid State Drive SATA + 256GB mSATA) </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="15%" align=right>[342-4495] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="20%">AlienFX </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="45%">Quasar Blue </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="15%" align=right>[313-8792] [421-7652] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="20%">Operating System </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="45%">Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="15%" align=right>[421-5789] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="20%">Hinge Up </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="45%">Stealth Black with Soft Touch Finish </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="15%" align=right>[318-2320] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="20%">Adobe Reader Acrobat SW </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="45%">Adobe Acrobat X Reader </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="15%" align=right>[410-0548] </TD></TR><TR id=yui_3_7_2_1_1354230721409_1944><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="20%">Optical Driver </TD><TD id=yui_3_7_2_1_1354230721409_1943 bgColor=#ffffff width="45%">Slot-Loading Dual Layer Blu-ray Reader (BR-ROM, DVD+-RW, CD-RW) </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="15%" align=right>[319-0081] [421-5106] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="20%">Sound </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="45%">Creative Sound Blaster Recon3Di with THX TruStudio Pro Software </TD><TD bgColor=#dfecfa width="15%" align=right>[421-4818] </TD></TR><TR><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="20%">Wireless Networking </TD><TD bgColor=#ffffff width="45%">Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230 With Bluetooth 4.0 </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> :):g Thanking you in advance Dan |
Re: Alienware
I have always used Dell and you will be fine.
You'll need to do a few setup tricks to get the Optimus to work the way you want to, however. Contact or P.M. me when you get the unit, and I'll walk you through it, as it is a little tricky at first. |
