Mtu- Free The Fixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you like me....You paid your money to Upgrade a year ago and have waited for MTU to fix 5.07 as not to crash?
Now they release 5.08 after my Upgrade capability has run out and probably most users. Should we have to pay another 70 Bucks to fix 5.07.They sold us Software which does not work. Not one complete show without crashes or problems. The answer is no and it is up to us to complain. If not legally MTU you are at least morally bound to provide the users of 5.07 the fixes to make it run without expecting them to pay yet again. After all we also test your Software, provide you with suggestions and buy your other products. YOU NEED TO PROVIDE US WITH THE FIXES FOR FREE.The upgrades we have to pay for we understand that.So separate the fixes from the upgrades and let us get back to using Hoster. If you agree with me let MTU know.Would you except this from other reputable Software companies.Would you pay for every fix Microsoft came up with? No.My Hoster is broken. It was working before i upgraded i paid and was upgraded to a useless piece of Software. COME ON MTU!!! |
Re: Mtu- Free The Fixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have three computers with no crash issues, even on 5.07?? Maybe it's your computer possibly?

Hello?
Check out the fixes in 5.08 and youīll see that is probably not the case!!!!!!!!!!.Even if it were why canīt they release the fixes for 5.07 without double billing their customers.

Re: Mtu- Free The Fixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just been looking back at your postings and see nothing posted by you on this forum regarding you having all these crashes with 5.07.
The last post from you was regarding upgrades in September 2010 and that was 4.10 :f again complaining about paying for upgrades. If you was to explain the problems you seem to been having it may have been possible to see if you had some set up problems causing the issues. If you post detailed information as to what you are doing at the time you see these crashes mtu has more chance of solving it than just telling us it crashes. |
Re: Mtu- Free The Fixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because i donīt frequent the forum as often as others doesnīt mean that i donīt follow whatīs going on.The problems i have are the same as many others are experiencing with 5.07.Hoster stops for no reason, synchronicity problems etc.Fortunately i donīt do live gigs anymore so i use the software seldomly now.
However you donīt seem to voice your opinions on the rights or wrongs of charging again for fixes to the software(broken!).I do not complain about paying for the upgrades in fact for the past 10 years or so i have purchased every upgrade MTU has made. What p***** me off is that after all these years i now have software that is not functioning correctly. I have paid 100īs of dollars over the years to MTU for Hoster and still think itīs the best Karaoke Software out there,so donīt make me out to be a moaner. The policy of charging every year for repairing my upgraded and defect Hoster is not right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The only problem that I had with 5.07 was a bad .mp3 file that would cause BA Player to crash Hoster. It took Roy Dennis a couple of days to help me find that one! After that, no more crashes! I'm now running 5.08 and all is well! If you provide the info that Roy requested I'm sure he or someone that monitors the forums will have a fix, meaning that if Hoster starts crashing on my machine, it is usually something I did or did not do or a transition from Win XP to Win7. |

I understand your frustrations, but if you will come to the forum and post the problems you're having, there are many people here that will gladly help work your way through them. A lot of people experience the same type of problems that you have, and here, we work through them together. There are so many different Computers and their setup's, it's impossible to make a program this complex to work with every system every time. Sometimes adjustments have to be made. There are many, many very good people here that will bend over backwards to help you. Please give them the opportunity... Good luck... |
Re: Mtu- Free The Fixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John,
I am not sure which RegCode you are referring to, but I had set the Hoster 5.08 Install Date, back to May 7th, 2012 which is just after Hoster 5.07 was released. Pretty much anyone with Hoster 5.07 could install the software. The Install date, is what needs to be within 12 months of your last upgrade, not the Release Date. This is what allows you to get the Upgrade or not, as stated in this chart http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster.htm Your last upgraded just expired, I will extend it, and also extend your other RegCode, that had not been upgraded since 8/07/08 to the May 7th 2012 date, so you can install this version. If this upgrade was $20 or $25.00 I it wouldn't be so bad but $70.00 is way to much escecially at Christmas time (In all fairness MTU is offering 20% off during Christmas time) PS--My 5.07 works just fine. |
Re: Mtu- Free The Fixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
XXYYZ,
If you have 5.07 Installed, it SHOULD allow you to install version 5.08 without an upgrade being needed. I set the date back so that anyone with 5.07, could install it. So there would be no need for you to purchase an upgrade unless you were way back before May 2012. |
