Hoster Lite 5.07 Problem ...

I have a friend that has Hoster Lite 5.07 and she is having a problem I can't reslove.

When you open Hoster Lite, you get the error message: C\MTU\HosterLite\def001.hst is an invalid playlist format file. Please only open a playlist file created by Hoster.

Once you click out of the error message, Hoster Lite runs fine. You can search for song and they are there and will play!

I have tried rebuilding the database to no avail. When I go to File\Open, I do not see def001.hst.

I don't know where to go from here.

She is a novice Hoster Lite user and does not have access to this forum...

The default folder for the def001.hst file is in the C\MTU\Hoster folder, so when you select File/open the drop down window for folder would have to be showing Hoster. If you are in the correct folder and still can't see any defoo1.hst she may have altered this default folder at some time.

If it is in the Hoster folder but not showing, then from the File menu choose save, this should overwrite or create the .hst file to open correct next time.

If when you choose open it is not in the default folder try this: Once you have Hoster running, from the file menu Select "Save As" not save, then in the "Save In" window browse to the Hoster folder and select it, then in the File name window if it is empty enter def001 then save. Now close Hoster and re open and see if you are still getting the error.

Roy,

The "Save As" option did it. Everything works fine now...

Thanks!

I know I've done this before, and have had it explained on here before, but I'm asking again. How do you disable the HDMI audio so you don't send it to the monitors along with the video?

Thanx in advance for your patience. :)

Either right click on speaker icon and select "Playback Devices" or open Control panel/Sound then select playback tab, Right click in the panel and tick the boxes to Show Disabled devises & Show disconnected devices, then right click on HDMI icon and select Disable, then apply and OK. This only disables the sound not the video.
