Problems sometimes when importing songs

First off I have made all the necessary changes to windows XP and have uploaded many disk into my data base.
My problem is I have manually up loaded a lot of disk but when I try to Import them into hoster I sometimes but not always get 0 songs uploaded. A good example was a party last night. The host of the party had 25 Chartbuster disk they wanted to sing from and I uploaded them a week before, checked them and all was good. The night of the party the songs were in the data base but I could not play them nor could they be found with the search feature. any ideas on whats happening here.
Thanks

Re: Problems sometimes when importing songs

I had deleted the troublesome folders prior to this but it still wouldn't up load them, So I deleted my whole data base and re imported the folders I was having trouble with. One folder had 375 songs found but only 225 were listed as new songs added. another folder had 225 songs found but only 150 were added. Why didn't the software see these songs before deleting the whole data base? I'm more confused than ever??

Edit: Also Im using a Memorex 32x/52x rewrightable Compact disk player to import the disk if that is needed info...

When you say manually uploaded discs, did you not import the disc through the import cd disc dialog or did you rip the disc some other way ?

Did you upload the 25 discs using the singers disc button on the main hoster screen ?
If so that would explain why they no longer appear as that is a tempory import button for importing the odd song at a show and is lost as soon as you reboot the computer.

How did you delete them, through Hosters Edit dialog, Remove folder from the import dialog or through windows explorer?

What type of files do these folders have in them, kma or kmh types ?
IF they are a kmh type and you open the folder in explorer, you should see an "ImportedFiles.txt" file, this is a record of all the files already imported, you could try deleting this file then see if it finds and imports all the tracks. It does not have this .txt file in the kma type folders.

I'll leave it at that for now see how you get on.

Yes, uploaded through the Import songs & Index song database/Import CD tracks.

Since I was doing a party for there son's birthday later this month I uploaded them the same as above. To correct myself they were sunfly disk, I have the Chartbuster versions but they preferred sunfly. I intended to clear them after their next party as I did not purchase the sunfly tracks.

Through the Build Song Database /Exclude Folder option. Then Finely I deleted the Songs.MDB File and tried to rebuild the whole database.

They are KMA Files I have in folders on my (E) drive and a Portable hard drive. The only KMH File I see is one song in the C:\MTU\KMA Files. Other than that one file that folder is empty.

I hate to ask so many questions. I am reading post here and referencing the Hoster Manual but there is so much Information to take in and I'm at a loss at what I'm doing wrong.
