Using LCD/LED Monitors In Daylight...

Since it's now summertime, well almost, playing outdoors with a LCD or LED monitor is a problem.

As you well know, you can't see the screen in direct sunlight. This goes for your laptop too.

Does anyone know of a solution for this problem?

I always made a sort of shroud that went around the screen. Then bumped up the brightness, lowered the contrast a bit & blasted the colors to full. This would usually be enough to work in most days. Oh and obviously do not have the sun directly in front or behind the monitor.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried any of the "anti-glare" screens that are out now:? I've been thinking of buying one of those.

Those don't really work for direct sun. And you would still need to brighten all the display settings to higher levels.
