Remove Silence
I have the latest version of hoster on a new lap top running windows 7, 4 gb ram, 500 gb hard drive, intel i3 core. When I try "Remove silence feature" hoster stops running after a few seconds. "Hoster application has stopped working", close program. Any ideas to repair? Thanks, Gary

Re: Remove Silence
If this happens it is normally if it finds a corrupted file, If it has processed a number of files and then stopped it is a matter of finding the last file it processed and try and determine what the next file would be. You can try to determine this by opening the edit dialog select Multiple mode, enter a wild card "*" in the find field, when it has listed the contents the book id field is the most likely order that it would process on lowest # first so if yours is listed as lowest # first scroll down while looking at the S-E set field and see if this changes from yes to no or null at a given point.
If you find this point, Highlight the next few tracks in the list and the press the start button in the Remove silece section of the edit dialog and see if it removes silence using this edit dialog. If it won't proceed then that file is probably the culprit. Un-select it and try the same further down the list selecting files and pressing the start button and see if it carries on from there. If it does then note the Disc ID of the track that wont process and try setting it manually using the single edit dialog. If it wont change manually you may have to delete the file and reimport it. If when you list your files they are not in Book Id order click on the header field to make it sort that field, you may have to do this a couple of times to make it list from lowest to highest #. If you havent managed to remove silence on any files then try the same thing using the edit dialog but skip the first few tracks in your list. |
