Hoster does allow for more than just the singers first name.

In many cases I use First Name and Last name Initial such as Ken B or Angie C.

Occasionally I run into the singer that wants to use their First and Last Name.

I forget the number of characters that Hoster allows for Names however it appears to be plenty as I have not had any issues.

Bottom line, what everyou type into the singers name field will show on the screen if you have Hoster set up to do so.

If you enter the singers name in the playlis as: Jose < Negro> <NEGRO>The word enclosed in the <> symbols wont show on the singers screen only on the playlist, I use this for my singers. There must not be a space before 1st and last letter and the symbal. :)

Confirm putting the last name between < > (ie Jose <Nica> ) and you will only see the whole name in your singer database, but only Jose will display on the main singer screen.
This also works on the regular song title/artists, if you want to mark notes for a specific song (like special effects or denote cussing within or something to that effect).

Guy,

That was some really good information. I didn't know this could be done...

I have struggled with this from an on-screen space problem (i.e., Duets) and this solves it...

Now I've got work to do editing all of the ones that are duplicate names plus all the songs on which I want to put notations!

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the help.

In my shows I have several singers who use the same name and is difficult to identify them, some do not want to give his last name or name. I will get a nickname to identify but it is hidden.

Using <xxx> will help.
