Songs made in KHPRO play to fast in MicroStudio

After adding lyrics to a wave file in the KHPRO, the song will play at the normal speed in the KHPRO program, tracking the words in sync. However, when I save the file as CD+G, to the hard drive and play the songs in Microstudio, the tempo is speeded up and sounds like a chipmunk song.

I am using Windows ME, AMD 1000 cpu, 256ram and 40gig HD.

PS: The commercial or copied CD+G disk will play okey in the Microstudio program.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide to help me solve this problem.

Curtis,
Are you using an audio editing program ? Sounds exactly like what I encountered when processing and converting audio files.
The default speed on the editor program was 22.05KHZ. The songs worked perfectly in KHP, but when saved to CDG and played back in Microstudio...Alvin and the Chipmunks ! Hassled with it until I thought to change the speed in the editing program to save the work at 44.1KHZ and the problem disappeared.

Take care,

George

Source of your audio

Curtis, where did you get the audio file from?

Did you import it from an audio CD using Microstudio, or was it a mp3 or .wav file you downloaded over the Internet?

George is on the right track in his post. I expect your original audio file is at 22.05KHz sample rate. KHP and Microstudio don't prevent using this rate, but Microstudio always assumes a 44.1KHz rate for playback as that is the Audio CD and CDG standards.
