Name of KMA files
First of all I was looking for a similar thread but could not find one or used from search words. When I look at my KMA files they look like SC8240-8.KMA or SF062-10.KMA... and so on. Is there a way to rename them that the song behind KMA file can be identified. E. g. bookID - Singer - Title.KMA ? Maybe with another tool like songverter but here I cannot convert KMA files into KMA files using 'Use Full Name for KMA files' in the tools bottom as it is not allowed to convert KMA into KMA files (makes sense). But maybe it can be done in Hoster (but could not find anything in the manual).

Re: Name of KMA files
I just want to know what song is behind the KMA file. When I want to create a customs CDG with Microstudio I cannot just search for the bookID, I first have to check in Hoster how it is stored on the harddrive (if file is imported from a Sunfly CDG then the KMA file starts with SF...). If the filename of the KMA file would start with the bookID it would be easier. But if not possible, then ok and you can close this thread.

Re: Name of KMA files
Are all your kma files in different folders then ?
When you open the folder in Microstudio with the kma files in it shows all the titles and artist or you can use the search feature. |
Re: Name of KMA files
No sorry, all my KMA files are in one single folder.

Or is your problem different to what I'm explaining ? |
Re: Name of KMA files
Yes I see. The default folder was always empty because it took too long till all available songs are shown therefore I gave a folder where no files are in. I can see them now. MANY THANKS. But nevertheless when I press the 'write Disc' then 'add songs' only the KMA files (original name) are shown so I first have to write down the bookid. But your answer helped a lot.

Re: Name of KMA files
Instead of going straight to your write disc, select each individual track in the My songs column then press the + sign to add it to the playlist. When you have all the songs you wish to write to disc showing in the playlist highlight them all by clicking the top song then Shift+Click the bottom one then press the Add to write disc button at the bottom right.
Then select Write Disc Tab on the top menu bar and all your selected tracks should be in the write disc list.:) |
Re: Name of KMA files
I tried and that's exactly what I was looking for. MANY THANKS AGAIN. Didn't read the manual carefully due to my bad English. This was really a great help for me.
