Song book with book ID showing

I have read the section on how to creat a song book. I have created a song book but it will only show artist, title and some discs id like 03-09 , 70-17. I can't get it to put the book-id on the song book. Will the program allow the book ID to show. I have tried to creat it in many different ways. I am a very new user of one week. I am using the program and it works fine. It would be conveneint to have the song book showing the book ID for each song, its easier to find the song rather than typing a search for each song. I must be missing a step or just not seeing how to do this. I sent this over to Tech support two days ago,no response or comment as of this message. Any help or understanding of this is greatly appreciated.

Re: Song book with book ID showing

You can print the book with either Book Id which is Hoster's way of indexing and will be a figure like you mention where the numbers before the - are the disc number and the last two digits are a track # which can be anything from 1 to 99.

Alternately you can choose to print the Disk Id & track # , this depends how you imported the information originally.
If you imported your original disc you would have entered the original makers disc id with each import so the information should be there when printing a book. If you omitted the disc id at the time of importing then you will not be able to print this as Hoster would have entered a disc Id of it's own which would be something starting with XYZ followed by a number.
If you imported them as hard drive files again this depends if the Disc id was in the original file name or whether you added it at the time.
If you used the easy import method from the build database dialog it would probably have just used one long file name so again would not have picked out the original Disc Id.
If you ended up with the XYZxxx you will not be able to edit this without reimporting those files or disc again.

To choose printing the Book Id, Disc Id, or to leave the space blank, use the drop down arrow in the last field selection box in the "Create Song Books" dialog.

I have tried all these suggestions and the book ID still wont print out. All of my music was loaded from cdg disc, using the manufactureres name and disc ID. I have been trying to resolve this for a week and put in a ticket, but still havent gotten the help I need to fix this. I am stuck and now pissed off and feel like terminating my purchase since I am within the 30 day period.

Are you saying that you can print the songbook but the book id is missing on the printed page ?
I enclose an attachment for Songbook sample, one example of the many different options available showing the book id at the right side.

If you are saying the last column is missing, which program are you using to print it out ?
In the attached example I used "Microsoft's Works Word Processor" but it should look the same in Word.

In the other attachment of the songbook dialog note the settings I used most important the last field box must be set to book ID.

Check your printer settings and paper sizes.

Re: Song book with book ID showing

Roy, I have been getting the book ID printed all along. It prints with a dash between the numbers. I thought this was the disk number and track. When I would put this in the field it would not bring up the song. My song book is printed out correctly and now understand to drop the dash. It was so simple,I was doing all the steps right . Problem resolved. Bryan finally got back to me to explian this point. He said it was in the manual. Well I read every word and couldn't find this point being made. I am a happy camper and my Karaoke life will go on. It's really apprecaited by new users like me to have quality people like yourself to get help when we ask.

Thank you

Glad to hear you got it sorted. Not having to enter the - in the book id field when adding songs to the playlist just saves an extra keystroke.:w:)

I shall now close this thread as problem solved.
