Piece of Crap
Hoster 5.01 is a big piece of crap! I can't get anything to work!
After making all the changes in windows settings just to be able to install this program, my new computer is now locking up. I can't even get all of my old hoster kma file into the data base let alone build a song book. When I get a song to play by clicking on the koke tab, it will not play on my tv monitor. Sometimes the seperate display window even disappears completely, and i have to exit the program and start over.....I am so frustrated by the whole experience from the support tickets and voicemails not being answered to the undiscernable help menus, that even the geek squad couldn't follow. I just want my money back and MTU can cancell this program and all further support, and I'll go back to using the simple and sure ****** program.........Once again this program is a piece of crap!!! |

Re: Piece of Crap
As Lonman says, if you don't give full details it is hard to see what you are doing wrong.
First of, is it locking up without Hoster running or is it only locking up only while Hoster is running ? Next, how are you connecting to your TV monitor ? if it is a laptop are you using the HDMI, VGA, or through an adapter ? If you have existing KMA files from a previous version of Hoster you can import them from the "Build Database" option. If they are all in one folder use the ADD Folder button and navigate to that folder, be sure you see the list of kma files in the folder window before pressing select. This will add all those in the database so that you can search on Title or Artist or any other info contained in the file. In this dialog you can index any of the type of files shown by highlighting them. If you select "Folders/Sub Folders" and select a drive it will automatically search that drive for any of the types of files you highlighted. If your computer is locking up because of some of the changes you made you should be able to correct this by restoring the computer to an earlier date. Just to be on the safe side if you do this uninstall Hoster first while connected to the Internet. Then if it runs without locking up reinstall Hoster and try it again. Then make the recomended changes gradually checking that Hoster performs right before continuing. This way you may find what caused the locking up problem. |

Is this a Windows 7 system? Is it a desktop model or a laptop? What version of Hoster are you upgrading from so we have common ground to try to guide you? Are any of your existing KMA files located in the Program Files or Documents and Settings part of your hard drive? What kind of connection are you using to your singer's monitor? Obviously you submitted at least one Support Ticket. Did you get an auto-reply email back? If not then your email program or your ISP has MTU blocked or is transferring that message to your spam email folder. If you have been trying to call or hoping to get an answer to support tickets on the weekend, then you need to understand that MTU does not work on the weekend. Support Tickets are taken in the order received, so they may not have gotten to yours before the close of business on Friday if you submitted it before then. Quote:
I realize that you are frustrated, but if you will give us the above requested information then we can try to get you running and once you have it running then you will find that this is the best program for Karaoke on the market. |
