Two Questions Please....*:)

First off I would like to know if once I create KMA files can I erase the zip files of my hard disk and still have Hoster work using KMA files only.
I am guessing that this is ok but want a pro's answer.

The second question is I am begining to think that some songs that are KEYCHANGED in the Hoster Karaoke will never work properly due to the way some of the songs are recorded........?????????????
Thanks :g

Yes, however, I store my zip files on another computer just so I can have another backup source.

and....Usually, I have found anyway, that some songs that seem to have a low pitch guy singing,e.g., Johnny Cash, etc., you may not be able to lower them much more than one or two half-steps lower than the original. Most other songs can easily be adjusted 3 half-steps in either direction though.:)
Anyone else want to chime in with helpful comments on this one?

The answer to your first question is YES for Kma files, not to be confused with Kmh files which can't.
But as Bryant replied it is a good idea to keep a copy safe for backup purposes.

As to your second question I'm not sure what your referring to here, are you experiencing unusual effects when using it ?

Yes
This has been ongoing and I brought this up when I first used Hoster Lite. Some songs will have a wobble to them when using the Keychange function.I was to understand at that time that this might be due to computer power or the way the song was recorded....??????

my netbook has 2 gig ram.....250 gig hard drive......Intel Atom ...N270 CPU
I have used Karaoke programs that work better on the songs in question but Hoster Lite has the best Interface Ive seen yet....

I have an idea to check this out maybe...
If anyone out there has a netbook something like mine maybe I could send them the song in question to test on their netbook......?????? :g

What version of Hoster Lite are you running?

Version 5.00/5.01 has brand new key change code that is excellent to what we wrote ourselves in 2000.

Some songs, based on the instruments being played, will not key change well, exhibiting "warbling" as you indicate.

If you can zip and attach one to a Support Ticket, we can review it also. Click the MTU.com SUPPORT navigation link to get to the Support Ticket.
