Font Size

I've wrote about this before, and I was hoping that the new 5.0 would have my request in it but unfortunately it's not.:f I previously wrote about being able to adjust font size on singer's and search database. What I mean by that are the radio buttons after Singer's Disc and before K-oke radio buttons. When you click on "Search" so you can search for songs or "Singers" to open up the Singer's list, the font cannot be changed. I have some singers that come up and want to see their list which opens up in my screen. The same goes for the search function. I turn my monitor so they can see it, but because some of them have bad vision, they can't read the songs, so I end up having to read it to them. Is there a way we can incorporate this in a future release hopefully soon? I have a few customers with this problem and I've told them that I suggested it to MTU and hopefully it would be added soon. Also, I am not the only one that wants this. There are a few people here that agreed with it, and a few others that previously requested this. I know you guys work hard putting out the best Karaoke Hosting program out there, but I think this will improve it even more and benefit alot of KJ's out there let alone the patrons with bad vision. So if you could, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.:)

I don't know if it would help you with what you want but if you have Windows 7 there is a magnifier option. From the start /search window at the bottom type " Magnifier" and some options come up it will take a bit of getting used to but there are a number of options you can try. It can be pinned to the taskbar and just used when you want to show your singers their list then shut off with the X but always available from the task bar.

Not trying to put your idea down just a work around for now.

Roy, thanx for the suggestion. Tried it out and it may take some getting used to, but I can work with it. Can't wait to show it to this one singer. She'll freak out. This is a good work around until we are able to adjust the font size. Hopefully we can get it incorporated soon. Thanx again.

Re: Font Size

We implemented compatibility with the Windows DPI (Dots Per Inch) setting. Chage it for XP by:

1. In the Destop, right click on a blank area to see the menu.
2. Select Properties.
3. In the dialog that appears, select "Settings" tab.
4. In that dialog, click the "Advanced" button.
5. In that dialog you will find the "DPI setting" field. Select the resolution you want. The screen "font" will change. Windows may require some new fonts, and will request them if so.
6. Keep clicking the OK buttons until you are out of this dialog set.

We don't expect to add "font" buttons in the Search or Singer dialogs because the DPI setting is the "overall" way to adjust this in Windows. I hope this meets your needs. :? :)
