Hoster LiteŽ 4.32

New Hoster LiteŽ 4.32 install using Windows VISTA (yikes!). Nothing works as expected. Can't even import CDs. Screen looks fine, allows me to try to search but Hoster doesn't even see KMA files copied to KMA subfolder (located off MTU folder install w/software).

Can anyone help? How can I get Hoster to recognize KMAs copied from external disk?

Thanks in advance.

Update!!! :)
I was able to find information to resolve my issue of not being able to access KMA files! (Thanks to a previous post!) :):)

Now I am trying to resolve issue that prevents import of CDs. (That option is "greyed" out on the screen).:f

Thanks in advance.

Did you perform all the required changes for Vista as shown in this link:
http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster/v...de-hoster4.htm

Also, did you assign a default CD drive and did it test as good?

P.S. I checked out the instructions and there is NO WAY I would go through all those steps in hopes of everything turning out perfect. OS replacement is the perferable soultion.:g

(Death to Vista:m).

The only way to replace the OS would be to go up to Windows 7 and basically all the same steps have to be done with it.:f

Gwen, did you do as Dale suggested? If you haven't selected a default drive, Hoster can't use it to import.

Re: Hoster LiteŽ 4.32 w/Windos 7

I loaded Hoster onto a brand new laptop having a Windows 7 OS. I assigned a default CD drive and it tested as good--so far that is all I have done (no other steps) and everything seems to be working fine.

I am able to play (imported) KMA files, that is, I can hear and view on my PC, however, I have yet to plug my laptop up to external speakers or a monitor.

I'm hoping I do not have any problems re-configuring the "Display Properties==>Settings" in order to achieve dual screen processing. Do you know if Windows 7 dual screen processing poses any challenges?

Thanks in advance!
Gwen

Not that I know of. It maybe things have been moved or changed but should be easy enough to find.

To answer your previous post of not going through all the steps for Vista. The problem with not doing that is you may have things that will not work right. That list was created to solve problems with running Hoster on a Vista system. There is also a list for Windows 7. And again is necessary for Hoster to fully function on Windows 7. Here is the link for that one.
