Hoster versions and Drive test question

After doing a complete clean install of Win 7, completing the pre hoster install changes, and then installing Hoster...downloaded directly from MTU website:

ISSUE ONE:

The version I downloaded directly from MTU was 4.32.12 (hoster432.12setup.exe). After installing I received a notice that there was a newer version 4.32.01 (hoster432.01setup.exe). Will someone please tell me the difference? I am familiar with version numbers and version 4.32.12 should be the latest version. Why would I get a message saying that version 4.32.01 is newer after installing 4.32.12?

ISSUE TWO:
DRIVE TEST
I have only 2 HD and a CD ROM drive. Laptop and USB
When I start hoster for the first time my laptop drive (C:\ ) is not among the choices for testing. My DVD/CD drive (D:\ ) was, and a Virtual CD drive? Called by Hoster Drive Test E:\... But not the C or F drive? Windows calls my usb drive F: There is no "E" drive on my computer.

Why wont the Hoster drive test show my C: and F: drives?

This is not my first set up. It's a back up system that I have to get running as soon as possible. The first system is using version 4.22 with some minor problems that I will address later. But I am having TONS of problems getting a working system using the newer versions. This is my 3rd time reinstalling everything from scratch and I'm getting very frustrated. Both computers are identical.

No actually version 4.32.01 would be newer. The last section denotes the month of the release, so in this case it is 01 which would be January, 2011. The monthly releases are for the built in database updates which they try to do on a monthly schedule.

The Drive Test is only for testing CD drives for importing from CDG disks. Its only purpose is to try and determine if the Cd drives installed in the computer can read the CDG format on the CDs. CDG formatted files are not stored as such on hard drives. There for they have never needed to be tested. Flash drives fall in the same category as hard drives.
It is also not recommended to use virtual drives for Hoster.
