Microstudio Drive Test Bad.

Okay I've got an HP with 64 bit Windows 7

I downloaded Microstudio and Song Verter today.

When it came to testing the DVD drive it tested bad, I then placed a Karaoke CDG in it anyway.

It read the CD, played it, and I copied it to my hard drive, then burned a copy.

Still have no idea why it said it was bad, but I'm glad it was wrong.

So far so good.

As usual MTU has given me a good product, thank you.

Some drives do not respond to the Test correctly, though they will work. If you know it works then click on the "Good" button to the right of the drive.
Windows 7 will sometimes interfere with the testing which can cause this too.

Have you changed something since it stopped working?
Example: different computer, different version of Windows, different CD player? Or anything since it was working right.

It still working on my Windows 10 machine, I have not tried it on Windows 12.

More info might help.

Re: Microstudio Drive Test Bad.

First off Are you referring to GDG imports or CD imports Or both?

First test I would do, will a CD play using Windows media Player?
If not i would think the CD player is Faulty.

If it plays OK Start Microstudio go to Tools/Default Drives.
Select the drive and Retest. Now in the bottom two Drive boxes use the drop down arrows and re select from the drop downs of both boxes Even if they are already showing Correct. now press save. If something has gone wrong in the registry this will reset it.
Now close Microstudio and restart.

Now see if works.
