PC Crash! ?? Serial # for microstudio
 

Can't re-install my software because I don't know where to find my Serial #. Or for that matter, what Serial # is needed. My pc crashed about a mo. and I had to have it formatted.. If anyone can help.....Thanks KS

You will have to contact MTU about your missing serial number, there is not another way to solve this.

Your KHPro serial number is found in the email that our store sent you when you purchased the software. This email included instructions to print the email, and save a backup copy of the downloaded file on a CDROM. I hope you have done that. If not, it takes us 10 minutes to verify your order and create your serial number and download link.

If you purchased within 3 months, we will do this for free as a service to you. Go to our Help Desk and select Shipment for the category. Tell Doug when you purchased, the product name and that you have lost the email and download file.

If you purchased longer than 3 months ago, please go to http://www.mtu.com/ and order the KHPro Upgrade for $15 to pay for our time to help you. Then, please, print the email and save the downloaded file to a CDROM data disc.

I never used to make out trying to make a back up of MTU products, but the fault was mine. I developed the habit of opening the file to download instead of saving to disc then making a backup of the unopened file to a cd.

Needless to say, I've changed my habits. Hope this tidbit helps in the future.
