No sound carried over from my HDMI output from my computer?

I can't find where to enable audio through my HDMI output. Windows 7 64bit. ATI card.
Thanks
George

I wouldn't think you would want sound over the HDMI because that would only feed to the TV sound system.
You need to run that through your sound card out to your system.
Either way that would be a Windows function and not a Hoster one.

As Dale said, this will disable any sound going through your normal audio out but if you want the sound through your TV or other HDMI device this is how to do it.
Right click on the speaker icon on the task bar. click "Playback Devices" when the window opens if you can't see HDMI output right click blank area in box, from the window that pops up tick the boxes "Show Disabled Devices & Show Disconnected Devices" Press OK. Open playback devices again and you should now see the HDMI Icon. Now you can right click on the device and choose "Set as Default Device" then press OK.
Now when you open Hoster Go to tools tab/Audio Controls and make sure it's showing your HDMI playlist audio card if not press the drop down box and select it. If you have done all this right it should now play sound through your TV but if you want to revert it back you should either disable it through the playback devices window or make the speakers high definition device the default.:)

Thanks for the help guys. I was hoping to get sound from my moniter as well as my sound system, this way the moniter could be used as a sound moniter too.

I think your best bet there is to use an audio splitter coming from your laptop and connect one pair of leads to your monitor and the other to your sound system. Something like this: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...&ob=Price&fb=0

On my mixer I can have one audio in and several out.

dont think that plugging it into the cd/tape out will work, if your tv( monitor ) is same as my tv, check your remote control , and click on source, see if its on tv or pc, or on hdmi, if your using your tv as a singers screen , it should be on pc

Your right, I can just run a moniter speaker from my PA.
