No Songs.mdb

I just reformatted my hard drive. When I upgraded and downloaded Hoster, I went to Mtu\Hoster so I could duplicate Songs.mdb and put it on my desktop. It wasn't there, so I did a Song Database Rebuild. After the rebuild, Songs.mdb is still not in Hoster. I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what!! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ernie

The file was not there or there were no songs in it?
When you did the rebuild did you point it to the folder where your KMA song files are located? The default location that rebuild looks is in is C:\MTU\KMA Files. If that isn't where your KMA files are you need to change the location in the Rebuild.

Re: No Songs.mdb

Dale,
I have the KMA songs in an external hard drive under Songs....J:\Songs. That's where I've always had them. I tried it again. At the end it came up with...Secessfully created 27979 entry 'songs.mdb' database in C:\MTU\Hoster\. I went into Hoster and songs.mdb is not there. The only things I have with the word Songs in it is Songbook, Songs, Songs_backup and temp_songs. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Ernie

Re: No Songs.mdb

Dale,
I was going to create a file,'Songs.mdb' in Hoster and then do a rebuild and see if it would go into that file, but as soon as I tried to install that file, a note came up... Coannot rename new folder: A file with the name you specified already exists. Specify a different file name.
I did a file search for Songs.mdb and none exists. Still scratching my head???

Thanks,
Ernie

You do have it then. Windows does not show the extension unless you change the settings for Windows Explorer.

It sounds to me that you have the hide extensions box ticked in folder view. I think that in your above statement you say you have "Songs" & "Songs-Backup" these are the files without the extension showing.
To display the extensions go to Control Panel/Folder Options click the view tab and scroll down the list till you see "Hide extensions for Known file types" and un-tick this box. press Apply and OK
