How do you delete duplicate songs from KMA files?

I printed out my song book and discovered I have duplicate songs. I'd like to clean this up. Some are from same producer some aren't.
Thanks
George

Delete them through the Edit Songs or if you don't want to delete them then you can hide them in the songbook also from the Edit Songs tool.

So I have to find them one by one and delete them?

No, not unless you want to, you can just hide them in the songbook. But you have to do it manually.
Go to Tools/Edit Songs Choose multiples tab, put the * in the match field press find. This will list your full song List. Click on the "Title" header bar to list all the titles in order if they aren't already in order.
Then scroll down the list till you see your duplicate files. Use Ctrl + left click to highlight any duplicates, after you have done a small number put a tick in the box near the bottom marked "Hide In Songbook" then press Apply Changes. Then carry on selecting more.

After completing you will have to tick the box in the songbook creation dialog "Use Exclude checked items list"
And then check that item in the list of excluded items.

Thank you for that explanation.

Maybe I'm wrong but that sounds like one by one to me:t

One song name by one yes. There isn't any way for Hoster to search out and delete duplicates. It requires you to do this.

Re: How do you delete duplicate songs from KMA files?

1. Run Hoster.
2. Click the "Hoster Manual" at the end of the Title Bar.
3. In the first page below the logo, click the "Printer Friendly" link.
4. Once the manual has changed (left column is gone), enter this

file:///C:/Program%20Files/Micro%20Technology%20Unlimited/Hoster/Manual/hosterman.htm#DuplicateFiles

on the Address line of your Browser. If you don't see this title:
Find Duplicate Songs to Delete or Hide Them in Song Books
then do a search for it.

This gives you a step by step of how to find, delete or hide in songbooks any duplicates you want to "get rid of".

Many users requested this "find duplicates" method. They convinced us that Hoster could never make the decision "what duplicate file to remove". Some like this Producer, others like that Producer, and others hate both of those Producers. It's your decision... so don't think wrongly of MTU. :)
