Re: windows7 singers monitor
There are several ways to get to this control screen, I am using an ATI Radeon graphics card so these instruction might vary if yours is different.
Before starting your 2nd monitor must be connected and switched on. From your desktop right click on a blank area of your screen (were there are no icons) a small window should pop up with a selection list, click on “screen Resolution” another screen should appear showing monitors 1 & 2 side by side (if you only see one monitor then something is wrong with your connection). Click the 2nd monitor to highlight it, you should see 4 user configurable boxes below these, in the lower one set it to “Extend these displays” then click Apply you should then be able to click on the box next to the monitors “Detect” for it to display a large 1 on your computer screen and a large 2 on the extended monitor, this only shows for about 2 seconds just to confirm all is working then press OK to close this window and you should be ready to continue as if you had your XP setup. This is the easiest way to my mind, If you cannot get to this setup screen this way let us know and I will try and explain other ways. |
