Second Monitor Problem

A few weeks ago I upgraded to Hoster v4.22 & everything has been running fine - until today (barring it being slow to open as with versions from 4.11 - but I'm living with that).

Today, while I'm at work my wife put on the karaoke. She found that on the second monitor ( 50" Full HD Plasma TV) the desktop was only extended onto about 5/6ths of the TV. When a song is played the lyrics are not centred on the screen and the first letter of some lines of lyrics is off the left side of the screen. I don't understand how it's happened or how to fix it.:f

The only thing I can think of, is that she had two Hoster windows open ( as we often do with no problems) and tried to set them to show side by side ( right click > Taskbar > show windows side by side ). This didn't fit properly, so she undid this.

Tonight I have tried everything I can think of to fix it from resetting everything to do with dual displays and screen resolutions in "Display settings". I also checked the TV's settings to make sure nothind had been accidentally changed.

I'm using a laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, i3 processor M330 2.13Ghz (x2). 3Gb RAM.

Re: Second Monitor Problem

Have you tried Tools Tab/options/Reset displays. This should put both back to their default settings, then adjust as normal.

Roy.

i have a 54" Samsung LCD/HD TV and have no problem using the dual display, you might wanna check the tv resolution, see if its on wide screen mode, when you're connecting your laptop/pc on plasma tv,whether you're using the vga,s-video or hdmi input make sure you're using the pc source, instead of tv source..on your plasma tv.

Re: Second Monitor Problem

Problem seems to be corrected by my wife while I was at work today. One thing I am not sure about though (the way she fixed it) is that she set the screen resolution for display #1 at 1280 x 600 & #2 at 800 x 600.

Re: Second Monitor Problem

What did you originally have the 2nd monitor set at?

Re: Second Monitor Problem

Not sure now what the original setting was, but I think it was the same as Monitor #1 [(Laptop) 1366 x 768]. I have reset Monitor #1 last night to 1366 x768 as things were too large for the laptop screen.

Can anybody tell me if & how to set things so whenever I post to the MTU Community, that my computer specs are in my post?

Re: Second Monitor Problem

Your computer monitor can be set to whatever size you want. The 2nd monitor should be 1280 x768 or 800 x 600 or in other words a non-wide screen setting.
