Re: Importing cdg's from my hard drive
If you moved them to hard drive then you cannot import them this way. If you imported them into Microstudio first then they will be BIN files.
Normally you Import from CD. They are imported as KMA files. The names of the files will be the DiskID-track.KMA |
Re: Importing cdg's from my hard drive
I did not move them. They are files that a friend gave me. Most of them have both a cdg and audio file. I want to import the files form my friends hard drive to hoster.

Re: Importing cdg's from my hard drive
You need to figure out what format the audio file is. In this case the CDG file is just the text without the audio. The audio and video is in the audio file. In other words this will be one of the items you listed up above in your first post.
What version of Hoster are you using? You do realize that using your friends files is not legal. |
Re: Importing cdg's from my hard drive
I am using version 4.11. The files are wmp files and .cdg files. I can open the audio files but all I get is audio. I am using the files at home to practice my singing.

Re: Importing cdg's from my hard drive
WMP or WMA? From what I can find there is no such thing as a WMP audio file extension. If they are WMA extension then with version 4.11 you will have to convert them to MP3+G from the WMA+G. Version 4.11 did not use the WMA extension I don't believe. It has been a while since I have used this version.
Windows Media Player does not have the capability to display the lyrics which are stored separately in the CDG file. |
Re: Importing cdg's from my hard drive
Thank you so much for your help! I would be stuck without you. The file types are mp3. When I imported one in the audio import window all that I got was audio, no words.

Re: Importing cdg's from my hard drive
The files on your hard drive should like like this example:
Foreigner - Cold As Ice - LG104.cdg Foreigner - Cold As Ice - LG104.mp3 Two files with exactly the same name apart from the last 3 digits after the dot. When you select the “Import Songs” tab then the Hard Drive option, from the display ( I don’t have this version now so can’t remember what you see) if you see a MP3+G tab select that. Now you have to navigate to the folder with the files on, the window that appears only shows .mp3 files, this is correct, press select. A new dialogue window should appear, if no files appear in the window it is because they were already imported, to see them uncheck the hide imported songs box. You should then see a list of files again it only displays the mp3 file but providing you selected the correct type to import it will be correct. Now it is a matter of getting the field separators right to import these songs I suggest you read the manual on this. Once they are imported they will have a .kma extension, to check they are there use the Tools/edit option to search for them, or click the bookID drop down arrow and they will be the last one's on the list.
