Hoster 4.30

I don't see much change in Hoster 4.30 and I am wondering why MTU even went to the trouble of offering this. From what I see the changes are insignificant, especially since I am in the boat of having to pay for the upgrade. It seems to me instead of going on the one year clock for upgrades, it would be a better course of action to wait until some worth while changes are made....pitch...leveling....etc. If I am missing something in this upgrade please advise. It wouldn't be the first time I was clueless.

Walt if you don't think it is enough and aren't having any problems with drives to warrant buying now, then wait for the next one. The main thing this adds is the upgrade notice that will preclude them having to spend 2 -3 days sending out emails to everyone.

Well that is a good way to notify everyone, however most of us weren't getting the notifications anyway without pursuing it ourselves. In some cases the 12 month upgrate time slipped by before we knew they were available. This definilely seems to solve those problems if it works. I am burned out and frustrated as I have let MTU know. I'm taking a break from MTU. Hopefully they will make some adjustments to their support methods. I can't afford to put all the time in trying to resolve a problem as I have tried to do today. Unfortunately we fall further and further from personlized contact and many don't read emails in it's entirety or misunderstand them. I have spent the better part of my day trying to get a problem resolved with the installation of KHPRO 5.00 to no avail. I finally asked for refund before I had a stroke over this. You have been very patient as a Moderator and I applaud you for this and the help you have provided to many, many of us. Without you, MTU would have already sunk in my opinion. You have been very kind and considerit even when things turned a little advisarial. You are a good man.

Thank you for everything,

Walt

Just as an FYI the Support person thought you had disconnected the chat. So apparently what happened was that the link between you two stopped for some reason and it was no fault of either party.
MTU should be contacting you on your KHPro problem, so hang in there. All is not lost and will get straightened out. Have faith that MTU wants to make this right.

Dale,

I went ahead and did the upgrade to 4.30, not because I was interested in the changes but to support MTU. After all the problem I had trying to get KHPRO 5.0 and asking for a refund, they fixed the download problem but wouldn't take the money. So, at least this way I helped them by upgrading to 4.30 and the new upgrade to Microstudio. Sometime frustration gets the better of me in my old age.

Years of training as an Support Tech for computer systems. If you could hear what I am saying as I am typing the answers it would burn your ears off.:g I have also erase many a line I have typed to tone it down and try to be civil. It is the nature of the job. You have to be pleasant and try to help and this format is not the most conducive for that sometimes as I can only go by your descriptions of the problem, ask questions to try to get more information and sometimes even that isn't enough.:f

I don't know how you do it. And I apologize for those times that I may have been less diplomatic and have possibly pushed your buttons. I will try very hard to do better in the future. :s
