Hoster on Windows 7

I have recently had to buy a new laptop that runs windows 7 64 bit and I am having trouble using the floating preview window not resizing or moving. Has anyone had this problem
My system is a Toshiba satellite pro with dual core processor and 4GB ram and was sold to me as a desktop substitute.
Cheers.

This is how it should work:
From the Tools/show display/Preview button, you have to tick the box undock & resize press apply and Close. Then shut down Hoster and re-start it, then you should be able to drag & resize.

If this is what you are doing and still having problems then post back.

I don't now if this will help but I found this thread:http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?...undock+preveiw Post # 27
Although it was for an earlier version of Hoster, I would have thought it had been fixed.

Here is how to Fix this.

This is located under the Tools Menu, Show Display, Preview Button

If it will not allow you to resize this, then try doing these steps, as there is a bug in the settings for this, that I have found.

1) Open Hoster with the window docked, so no check in the above box.
2) Go to Tools, Show Display, Preview, check the box to Undock and resize the display, click apply, then click Close.
3) Shut Hoster Down
4) Reopen Hoster and the Window is still docked.
5) Go to Tools, Show Display, Preview, uncheck the box to Undock and resize display, click apply, then click Close.
6) Shut Hoster Down
7) Reopen Hoster
8) Go to Tools, Options and click Reset Displays. Click Save
9) Close Hoster, and Reopen it.
10) Go to Tools, Show Display, Preview, check the box to Undock and resize the display, click apply, then click Close.
11) Now the Window will be undocked, and resizeable.

Hi Roy

I have tried your suggestion and I have had no fortune. I will try a few things and see if they work. If you or anyone else reading this have any ideas I am willing to have a go.

Cheers

I have lucked out with the solution. I had forgoten to do action 13 in the recommendations for Windows 7/Vista. I have now allowed active content in my Internet Explorer and the problem is fixed!

Smiling now
