Music Video As a Backdrop to Audio

In show display settings under Audio DJ, I would like to run a "Music Video" as a backdrop to a Audio file instead of "Visualization", does any body know if this is possible?

Thanks for any help

No it isn't. Windows Media Player which Hoster uses for the visualizations is not capable of doing that.

Add the Music Video to your InstaButtons so you can access it quickly. (see the Manual if you have a problem with this - it works for me on Vista):)

Yeah, I guess this would work as an alternative, but you still have to tigger it manually and you can't eliminate the sound of the video, so it would work like a Backdrop on a playing audio file, unless there is a separate volume control within each InstaButton that will not effect the Audio file being played, is this possible?

The ideal way would be to have it work like the background audio option, but with a video clip while the audio file plays, I do this now using VDJ and people like it, so looking to do the same for my karaoke shows while playing bumper music with old school video clips or even taped singers performance, they'll LOVE that...

OH - I thought you were talking about playing a "music video":r Playing a "slideshow" is different. This was talked about on the Forum before & someone said there is an "add-on" to WMP that will allow you to do that, but I never checked it out. You could create your own and then convert it to .wmv to play in Hoster.

Joe the problem there is that WMP is already providing the music as well as the visuals. WMP does have a slide show add-in for the visualizations, but I believe it is for still photos only and not for video.
To answer one question yes the Instabuttons does have volume control per file. Select the file to adjust, set the level you want and play to see if it is right. In the case you are talking about turn the volume all the way down for that selection.

Ok, I will try what you suggested and see how that works out.

Another reason I like to have this is because I have alot of Hindi and other languages in backing tracks with no lyrics on the screen and would play the same genre videos on screen as the playing track, right now I have to do it through VDJ and would like to use Hoster program for all Karaoke shows.

Thanks,
Joe.....
