Use external hardrive

Is it possible to run hoster off of a external hard drive?

my laptop is running low on memory and I bought a 1.5 T external harddrive. How can I run hoster using the external hard drive?

The Hoster exe program needs to be on your computers drive usually your c drive. You can use the external drive to store all the actual music and karaoke files.

Yes, that is what I meant, how do I point hoster to my external harddrive so I can delete the kms files that currently reside on my computer

Once you set up your folder on the external drive with your KMA files in it, then open Hoster. Go to Tools/Songs Database, then click Rebuild. When that opens Highlight the folder in the window and click on delete folder. Then click on Add Folder, find the folder on the external drive where the KMA files are located, and select. Then you can click on Rebuild at the bottom of the window. That is all there is to it.
Only thing you need to do when you use this is to make sure the external drive is plugged in to the laptop and turned on if it has a separate power source, before you turn on the laptop. If you don't then the drive letter of the drive may change. If that does happen you will have to rebuild again or change the letter back so Hoster can find the songs.

Did you mean room(storage space, etc) and not memory?

Don't see how adding an external hd would create any additional memory.

Thought that might need clarifying.
