text or lyrics not displaying on my desktop computer

I know there is lots of documentation on how to fix issues with the timing being off and so forth but I am having this issue where on every file on my desktop the word are either covered in black and un viewable or never even gets to the lyrics and stays on the first startup screen. any one else experience this issue after going to windows 7? it works fine on my laptop with vista. it used to work fine on my desktop until I installed windows 7 and upgraded to the new 4.11/and 4.2 version

ok I found out that it has to do with the fact that i was using a doubled video card. a 8500 gt and an on board video card to get a combined card of a 8600gt. after taking out the card and running on just the on board video i am fine. the only problem with this is I don't have a s-video out on the onboard for a second display. any suggestions?

If you use the card WITHOUT the S-video for your desktop, and plug in the s-video out to the TV from the other card, you will get where you are going. Using the SLI only causes problems when you have the singer's display on your desktop along with the preview. I have pretty close to the same setup.

the problem I am having though is that the SLI is built into the motherboard. so its a default motherboard video card that pairs with the geforce card. I would use them as two separate cards but if I plug in the second card the motherboard one doesn't output anything. Is there a way to turn off the SLI so that way they can both be operating separately?

In the NVidia Control Panel under 3D settings, you should have the option to disable the SLI.

ok it wasn't there but it was in the bios on the motherboard. I tested it by changing it on and off. still won't work. now with one card or two. with SLI on or off. I'm so confused on what is going on with this thing

To my knowledge there are only a very few video cards that will work in tandem as you are trying to do. Those are usually made to be multimedia cards where you can use 4 or more screens.
I saw a lot of problems with the Nvidia 8500 GT and Windows 7 when I searched the internet. That tells me the card is not Windows 7 compatible as they say it is. It might be time to think about a different card and be sure to check around the internet on whatever you choose for good and bad on them.
In the meantime use one or the other but not both of those cards. If the Nvidia works then turn off the internal and go with that.

that's the problem now lol neither the internal one or the external one works. the internal is the 8200 the external is a 8500.. oh well I may just have to go get a new card. I'm trying to figure out how i got just the internal one to work for a short time. I just play around and practice on my desktop so its not the end of the world. thanks for the info on the windows 7 and 8500. do you know if its the same with the 8200?

Do a search on the internet for Nvidia 8200 with Windows 7 and see what you find.
