File Error When Performing Upgrade

I have checked on the MTU Manufacturer's KB and find nothing relating to this error.

When running the MicroStudio 4.22 upgrade setup I am choosing "Remove".

The removal script is looking for G:\MicroStudio.exe.
My G:\ drive is my DVD-RAM drive I just purchased from MTU.
Is it possible it is looking for the installation CD or... ? :?

As it is now, I cannot run the upgrade and need to get this fixed ASAP so I can get back to work! HELP! :e

Thanks!

Yes, I do believe to do this requires you to put the CD in the drive.
However if you are doing an upgrade then instead of Remove you need to use Upgrade or it will not install. Any upgrade from 4.0 on is set up that way.

Re: File Error When Performing Upgrade

Thank you for the prompt response, Dale.

When I attempted an upgrade (prior to my first post) it says I already have 2 PC's registered and I would need to uninstall it from one of them.

I do not have a new PC. It is the same PC. So I was trying to follow the instructions on the "How to move registration" page.

I will give it a try with the CD in the drive and let you know what happens.

OK. Using the CD worked for the uninstall. Now when I try to re-install it still says there are 2 PC's already registered. Even though I uninstalled, the MTU site is not recognizing I did so.

Do I just have to wait awhile? or ?

What is the version you are upgrading from?
If it is not one of the latest ones the site won't recognize that you have uninstalled. Either way at this point you will have to send MTU a Support Email Ticket from the main web page to get them to reset your registration.
