Help! How Do I Completely Delete My Files And Start Over?

I started entering my discs and entering my own disc ID root number before I completely understood what I was doing!!. Not knowing that the program would enter the mfg. disc ID and find songs from that, I screwed up. Now I would like to completely delete everything I've done and start comletely over from the beginning. How do I do that???:c

In Windows Explorer go to the directory where your KMA files are and delete them. If you didn't change where the files are importing to it will be C:\MTU\KMA Files.
Then open Hoster and go to Tools/Songs Database. Click on Rebuild then click on Rebuild Songs Database at the bottom. It should rebuild with 0 songs.

Not all of the discs will the program enter the DiskID, but many are there. For the ones that aren't you will need to look on the disk it self to find the number. Use that number plus the initials for the producer in front as Hoster has done. For example if it is 90027 and the producer is Chartbuster, then use CB90027.
Since you are just starting out with Hoster your best bet would be to sit down at the computer and open Hoster then open the Manual. Read through the manual using the program to test what you learn. Do this before you start again as it will help you to learn how Hoster works.

And welcome to MTU and the best Karaoke programs in the world.

Another Newby Question

I have started entering my CDG's into Hoster. They are being stored on my c: drive at this point. Can I move these files to my external drive and then continue on with another block of entries, then move those etc.?

:?

It is possible but not a very wise way to proceed. If you keep trying to swap as you suggest you can run into lots of problems with disk Id & book id. If you want the files you have already imported, moved to your external drive then you can copy and paste them to that drive, then you will have to go to the tools tab and select rebuild, add the new location and delete the old press the rebuild songs database. From then on keep adding your new songs to the external drive. To do this make sure that the save to path at the bottom of the import screen is directed to the same new folder and not the old c/ drive.

Roy.
