Help with SetoutputFilenamefailed

Hi all, I am new to the Hoster software (got an early christmas gift). when trying to import i get the following error:SetOutoutFilenamefailed. I imported fine for a few discs and then this started popping up. I took the same disk in another plextor (same model) on another computer and no problem. Any Advise?

What file type are you trying to import?
What operating system is on your computer?

This is normally a DirectX problem. Check and make sure you have at least DirectX version 9.0C as this is what Hoster requires.

re: help

Thanks Douglas. All is good now. Have over 200 discs loaded (only 1000 more to go). Another question I had was this: I notice when I am writing the kma file or downloading the speed is two to three times as fast if I click on the Hoster software and hold down (left click). I tried it on the "blue" part of the window when importing/writing and on the window that shows the tracks being written. First, why is that and second does that effect the downloading or quality? I am using cdg disks and operting XP Pro on both computers. it does it on both computers. i am using two computers to bring in my songs onto external hard drives and then combining them together which is working great so far. I just wondered becouse i can rip twice as fast if i hold the left click button. If there are no "ill" effects i will just do that and get it all done in half the time. Thanks, jim.

I don't know of any reason it would do that and I have never seen this. I doubt it is effecting anything. With a 1000 CDs to go your finger is going to get tired. And all you may be doing is speeding up the graphic. I doubt it has any effect on the actual writing to the hard drive.

It does it on both importing and writing. I just wanted to be sure the graphics would't be hindered by this. Have you tried it? I didn't know if anyone else had noticed it. It is quit a bit faster.

I remember someone else mentioning this one other time, or something similar to this that speeded up the import. Never saw back where he (or she) had ill effects from this.
