Delay in playing Zip Files
I don't know if this helps - but on an older version I had a similar problem. It would not view any zip files all of a sudden. I re-installed and all the files were visible again to view and pick to play. That was on my XP.
I use an XP & Vista 2 different machines. XP has Hoster 3.2 The Vista machine is newer and I am trying out the newest Hoster 4.11. I have a few thousand zip on the laptop and most of the rest on an external drive. I do get a delay (20 seconds) between clicking play and when the song comes up with the zip & KMA files. Is it because the files are still .zip? If so should I get the Song Converter to change them to kma? so that when I click play that load quicker? Everything in the "Remove Silence" is at 0 (zero). Vista - 4GB Ram, 64 bit, hd 200GB with 140GB free Any clue how to NOT have that delay? |

I am not the original poster
I was not the original post but just a reply to the post and with a different question. Was that ok?

Except that his question was on Microstudio and yours was about Hoster.
So I have moved yours to the Hoster Help forum. |

If they are in your database from earlier version imports then the only way to get rid of the delay is to re-import them. Using Songverter to convert the zip files to KMA will not assign BooIDs so really is not a good way to do it. When you re-import them Hoster will first unzip the file and then import as MP3+G to KMA. This way they will play instantly instead of having the delay as you have now. |
