Hoster 2.011

This will probably sound crazy to a few of you but if i remember correctly, Hoster 2.011 had a feature that leveled the volume out if one manufacturer's disc was louder than another. This i really need. I have the original cd with this version, how can i get it back up just to see if it works as well as i remember. I know there are other ways, not interested. I do a one man show and this worked perfectly, sorry i have gone to 4.11, don't get me wrong, Hoster is the best karaoke program out there.

My memory is too short,,,,are you using XP or Vista?
If it is Vista, I don't believe 2.011 will not work on it.
The feature you are referring to which was a dual function called Limiter/Normalizer. If I remember right this was not an "on the fly" feature though and had to be applied during importing.
The reason it was removed was somewhere along in version 3 it stopped working and it was decided to take the feature out.

Hoster 2.011

Dale, this was 2002-03, before vista, worked with all Windows including xp. I think that it did not work when MP3 was added to Hoster for some reason. It was not "not on the fly", but imported with the program. Great feature. I can't think of a reason t2.011 wouldn't work on XP now. Really would like to know how to reload this 2.011, as i have the original CD it came on. Back then it would register on a memory stick and you could move it from computer to computer. Which i also liked.

You could look in your account for the registration code.
I don't know if or how you could register it now and I never had those earlier versions, so this is a questio Admin would have to address.

Hoster 2.011

Thanks Beavis, but that doesn't help. i'll ask Admin about how to re-install 2.011. No reason why it can't be done.

Beav, by any chance would you have Hoster 4.06 install file, this is the only one that still works well on my mini-laptop, but I deleted it a while back when switching to Hoster 4.09D?

If you have the cd it came on there should be a registration code printed on it or the jewel case it came in.

The tough part might be that Hoster was tied to the mac id of the ethernet connection. If you used a usb ethernet adaptor to register it and you still have the adaptor (I still have mine) you should be good to go as it was designed to be able to move it to any computer you liked. If you used the ethernet card built into the computer, you may be out of luck unless you still have that card.

I seriously doubt MTU would still support a product that old.

2.011 also required a floppy disk for offline registration. Memory stick registration didn't come 'till later.
