I am running Hoster Lite on a Toshiba lapttop which meets all of the requirements outlined in the User Manual. The platform is Vista Home Premium. I have made all of the changes specified in the Manual. My problem is the color options I choose for the Singer, Song and Background do not take effect on the Show Display or the Preview screen. The output is always black print on a grey background. Yet if I sellect an image bacground the image background appears.I have serched the formns and also online but can't find a solution. Can anyone help?

What version of Hoster Lite?
You said you have made all the changes listed in the manual, is this the list you have done? http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster/v...de-hoster4.htm
This sounds like a lack of control of the computer by Hoster.

Have you not upgraded to the latest version (4.09d)? It is a free upgrade.
There were numerous problems with the earliest version of 4. I don't remember colors being a problem, but anything is possible.

Sorry Dale I should have specified that. Yes I did upgrade to 4.09d

This is one I have never heard of. I suggest you submit a Support Email Ticket to get MTU Support to take a look at it.
Are your song lyrics being displayed in Black and White too or just the SND?

Thanks, before I do that I am going to download another Demo version of Lite on my desktop which is running XP. Maybe I've got a unique Vista problem. The lyrics are running in color beautifully and in sync.

I am thinking the same thing. The thing is Bryan can hook up to your computer and look to see what is keeping this from changing.
One other thing you can try is to re-install and check the box on the Personal Information page to clear the registry. Unfortunately you will lose all changes from default settings you have made and will have to reset them again.

I opened a support ticket. I also did an uninstal/reinstall but to no avail.

I also downloaded the Demo Version of Hoster on my Desktop running XP to see if the problem is unique to Vista. The strange thing here is that Hoster would not open once installed , further neither would any other application on my desktop PC. When I uninstalled the demo version everything opened normally

Anyway, thanks for all of your attention Dale.

GREAT NEWS! After painstaking searches on the Internet, I have the solution. The problem was in my Accessibility settings in Internet Explorer. I removed the checkmark from ``Ignore colours specified on Web pages`` and PRESTO! everything works. Here is an exerpt from the solution on the Net

Open *Internet Explorer*>tools menu>options>general tab>click the
Accessibility button at the bottom>ensure that none of the following are
selected:
. Ignore colours specified on Web pages
. Ignore font styles specified on Web pages
. Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages
Click the check box to clear.
OK your way out.

Thanks for all your help Dale. I will update my support ticket.

I didn't even think of that. Glad you found it and we will know better in the future. I should have realised it because Hoster uses both WMP and IE for parts of the program.
I'll let admin know in the morning so Support can cancel the ticket.
