Songbook???

Can Songbook be populated in XL?

The Songbook is populated as you say from the Songs Database within Hoster. You use Word or Wordpad to look at it, fix any formatting changes you want and print it. That is if this is what you are looking for.
If you are talking about the Songs database that Hoster uses internally then no you cannot use Excel for this. The way the Songs database is populated is by importing your song files which will create a .KMA file for each song file from either CDs or from your hard drive.

OK Thanks! I've been to Karaoke and seen their books and they have nice lines and columns. They must take the time to reprint into XL or something?

Are you viewing your songbook in Word?
You can format it to suit yourself, If you want lines between singers just Go to edit select All then choose underline on the text option. If you play around with Word you can achieve lots of different layouts.
I attach a small Example with lines and 2 column. Another way to split it into columns is to select all from the edit tab then from the Table tab select "text to column", you will have to experiment with these settings but the thing is to learn to use Word functions and you can achieve a lot of variations.

If you want to view in XL, open first in Word then save as a Text file then open that in XL, you will have to experiment with the import settings but you can do it.
